These weeks are just running together, I called my parents one day and was so confused as to why they were home and not at work, It was a Saturday. That explains how life is lately. To start off I want to talk about my team!! 7 amazing women that I will spend the next 9 months together with. For those that don’t know I am on a squad of 39 but then we have teams of 7-8 that we will do day to day things on the field together. Their names are Grace, Becca, McKenna, KJ, Annie, Charytie, and team leader Elizabeth. Our team name is “Kaleo” which means ‘Called by God’. Our team is full of so many personalities and characteristics, every single day we feel every single emotion, whether it’s fun, seriousness, sadness, joy, tiredness or energized. We are still getting to know one another and learning to trust one another. The other day we painted rocks and just talked for a while. We created a rock mood which has been a fun little joke for our group.

We also found out where we are going for a ministry!!!! So on September 25th we leave for Black Mountain, North Carolina. We will be gonna for 2 weeks then come back for debrief then leave for Guatemala. So crazy that we are only 3 weeks in. Being here makes me feel like I’ve known these people for months. I would love to tell you what we are doing in North Carolina but I honestly have no idea. Which has been a common thing here on base. You go day to day not knowing what we are doing. Which has been frustrating but also rewarding, learning to enjoy the moment and be grateful for the people I am with.

The lord has shown me that I don’t need much to be happy. That all the materialist things I have obsessed over are unnecessary. So letting go of those concepts has been super rewarding!!! I can’t wait to see what else he shows me!! Here are some photos of my team, the rock mood meter, and just life lately.
